Hey All,

New to the brewing hobby. Hoping to get some great advice from the brewmasters on this site. I used a William's starter kit and just started fermenting my VERY first batch.

sweet! nothing like the first time ;). in no time you'll be hooked!

Best advice from Revvy. Back away from the beer. Seriously though, let it sit in primary for at least 2-3 weeks. Your beer will thank you.

Brew Update:

Yesterday my brew got its head of foam! Can't wait to test for gravity. Looking forward to bottling!

The Wiki, and stickies are great starts.

thanks everyone! tomorrow I am going to bottle my brew. It looks right... it has a yellowish haze to it. must be a pale ale.

Bottled all of my beer. Lots of prep work. I didn't know brewing was this tedious.

No worries. Just get bigger bottles. I bottle in half/gallon flip tops and 1/2 liter bottles. It gets a lot easier and more efficient after a couple of batches!:rockin:

The larger bottle strategy is a dangerous one. Eventually you'll find yourself kegging. :)

Now that you've got your brew bottled you can drink a few on your next bottling day and it won't seem as tedious. :drunk:

Might do my next batch friday or saturday with my dad. He seems like he is really interested in doing it too. :tank: We are going to do a belgian blonde. He likes pilsners. :drunk:

I brewed with my son early this month, I hope you enjoy brewing with your dad as much as I did that brew session with my son.
