I too would like to know. Warranty is still only 1 year.
We didn’t go this approach similar to how cars don’t have hand crank options anymore either. We chose a very robust motor that should outlast you. If it doesn’t for whatever reason we support all of our products and will have affordable replacement parts.

I am going to go on your good reputation and participation on this site. You have my order!

Looks like I have to wait until April for delivery.

What cheap options are out there? I have a few beer kits and test batches I ordered unmilled that are getting old. No local shops to go to.

I don't own one, but I don't think you could go cheaper than a Corona mill.

Plus if your cordless drill sh-ts the bed during a brew day, you can use a hand crank on it.

I have said it a few times, and I still think it's true. Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace or any used outlet. People get into and out of hobbies all the time and sell their stuff for pennies on the dollar.

I just received an estimated delivery date for Run 1 on the Spike mill. April 25-May17!!

Really looking forward to this upgrade for ease of use changing mill gap settings (malted oats vs barley).

Looks like I'm in on run 2, which has been delayed. Estimating early to mid-June. Ordered last August.

Just received a notification the mill is shipping today (or at least the label was printed)!!

I received the mill this morning. The packing is excellent and well secured. I also bought the bucket lid adapter. The screws do not match up exactly to the locating holes on the bottom of the mill. It will be an easy fix for their second run of lids but I’m guessing all the lids in the first shipment are off. It’s an easy fix with a hand drill and bit but nonetheless an adjustment I need to take care of. Otherwise, the mill and components look excellent.

For what it's worth, the holes on mine lined up well enough that I could get the screws in without any drilling. So there might be some part-to-part variation, not on every bucked adapter.

Is there any official guidance on using conditioned grain with this mill? I imagine it would at least be a good idea to run a pound or so of dry malt afterwards to keep the rollers from getting too damp. But if it will void the warranty or something, I’ll stick to dry milling!
