Hi All,
I'm new homebrewing, and it is already a passion of mine. I've found that it involves two things that I enjoy doing, cooking and drinking beer.
Just over 3 weeks ago I brewed my first beer, an Extract (plus steeped grain) Irish Stout. I bottle it last weekend (9 days ago) and it should be ready to drink on Saturday (although I will let most of the bottles continue to age for a few more weeks). As soon as I bottled the Stout, I was on the hunt to find another recipe to fill up my empty fermenter. Saturday night I brewed up an Amber Ale, and fermentation is well underway. I'm already thinking about batch #3!
I joined the forum to get some new ideas, answers to questions as they come up, and of course to chat with like-minded beer lovers!
