Hello Everyone,

I have lurked on this site for a few weeks, and love it. I'm new into brewing and have jumped whole hog into it. Given my location it can be hard to get equipment, ingredients and what not. So I ended up dumping more into my setup than most beginners, I think.

What do I have in the works, A Yuengling clone with lager yeast (White Labs American Lager) fermenting at 52*f. Same recipe with a Cali Common yeast (White Labs San Fransisco) at 62*f and the same recipe with an ale yeast (White Labs Cali V Ale) at 66*f. A bit over kill, maybe. But I have an idea of what I want to drink, I just have to find out how to make it!

If anyone has any tips for the above, I'll share the recipe and we can discuss it. In the meantime, I am patiently waiting for the yeast to do its thing.

Ahoy there from Yuengling country! I'm also new here, from Maryland. I lived in AK for 10 years - went to High School there in Klawock and went to UAF for a degree. I hope you have good luck fermenting that old-school beer you want!

I just had Anchor Steam for the first time a couple of days ago, and the first thing it made me think of was Yuengling. Let us know how it turns out :mug:

Just did a gravity on the Yueng Steam, 1.054 to 1.018 in less than 5 days. Used White Labs San Fran(WLP810) fermented at 62*f. I'll give it 48hrs, or until the yeast is done, for a D rest in the 68 range. Man I can't wait to drink this one.
