Hey there everyone,

My name is David and I am new to the home brewing world! I have to batches fermenting now, and blonde ale and a Belgian white. Still learning everything that I need to, but I am having a lot of fun, and saving a lot of money on beer!!

I did want to ask everyone if there was some website or program that I could get to help while I brew, preferable a free program. It would be awesome if it could let you know the OG, FG, temps, times etc., you know things that you would need to know!

Brewers friend has a ton of calcs for free.
and saving a lot of money, glad to see you have a sense of humor :)

I've seen that brew toad website, just need to figure out more of the terminology since I'm still new at all of this. The brewers friend its a good one too, I've been playing around with it and it has a lot of useful still to use!

Anyone every used BeerSmith?

Welcome aboard! BeerSmith does have a large following on this forum. There is a free alternative which many use also, Brew Target ( http://www.brewtarget.org/ )

I use both. I prefer BeerSmith though, it's a bit more feature-rich. It can appear more intimidating when you are learning how to use them, but in the long run, it seemed worth it to me.

Cheers!
