How many Cornies can you put in a 24cu.ft. Chest freezer? Gettinf a new freezer to convert to a keezer. What is the best and cheepest controller to use? I know there are several on here but don't have time to reed them all.
:mug:

A lot. lol

I can fit four cornies and my CO2 tank in my 7 cu ft. one.

So by my logic, I would guess at least a dozen?

I fit 6 ball lock style kegs in my 10 cubic footer, so I'm going to guess you can fit at least 16 ball lockers in a 24 cubic footer. That's a lot of faucets ;)

I use Ranco digital controllers on all my chillers, bought them unwired for ~$50 each from Patriot Supply via Amazon.

Cheers!

Gadzooks, how many taps are you planning to put in that monster?

I was thinking about 10-12 beer and 3-4 soda plus some room for lagering. I like beer and the wife likes soda, I don't think she likes soda as much as i like Beer.:mug:

Does the Ranco work like the JC A419? I have one of them on my Fermation chest.

They're both single stage controllers, so for running a chiller they're interchangeable. The only functional difference I can see is the A419 has an adjustable "short cycle" feature, but I'm not sure that's worth an extra $20 over the Ranco ETC-111000 (Amazon prices).

I have one controlling my ferm fridge and the other controlling my keezer, work great, zero issues...

Cheers!
