Hello all, I've been perusing the forum for a few weeks (months?) now, usually when I had a question about some brew or other I was making. I have to say that you all have been incredibly helpful, as was the experience I had in another, completely unrelated forum that I used when I was self-employed. I've been working for the man now for a few years & have begun to get a bit restless again - but we'll get into that later.
I began my home brewing a few months back when I was given a set for my bday & haven't been able to control myself ever since - I've been amazed at the quality & variety that has been introduced to me by this. So, of course, I'm going to ask the question that has already been asked here, but please, respect the nature in which it's asked & don't chime in unless you have something to add to it. Any of us can snipe, troll, complain, etc. I'm looking for someone that has been there & is doing that.
I've seen a couple of folks on here that have "such & such brewery" on their info & a friend & I have been considering starting a microbrewery. No, I'm not 21 (I wish), haven't been to college (maybe a plus), & have successfully owned & operated a different business (sold it at a profit). I'm still fairly new to home brewing but based on what I can see, it wouldn't be that hard (less government regulations, taxes, insurance, etc.) to brew a quality product (much better than the COTS beers) & sell it for a decent profit.
So ... who here has been there & is doing that?
