Seems like the yellow dots blank out when a red X lines up exactly.

I noticed this blanking with a fibre optic sculpture I have. Certain color changes make the blue LEDs on my DSL modem disappear.
 
I think I like the skin crawling best. Last time I saw my skin do that was in college and I think this way is a whole lot safer.
