It looks nice! I'm not quite experienced enough yet to be able to verify accuracy, but it was easy enough to navigate and plug in a few numbers.

Do you have plans to make it a little more mobile device friendly? It didn't display real well on my Android. But that may just be the way the phone chose to display it too.

Just curious, is there a reason why you left Jainesheff's model out of your yeast calculator? I usually don't use it, I prefer a more conservative growth curve, but I do like to compare the results with each other sometimes.

Thanks for your comments guys, donovan am working on the responsive part of the website, so i intent to fix this soon. Where exactly it wasnt displaying ok? Was it just the home page or also the other pages?
Bbl if you are reffering to the intermediate shaking method by jamil, if i am not mistaken is the same as the "Shaking" option i have, based on their book Yeast by C.White and Jamil.

Here are a couple screen shots of what it's doing on my phone. Seems like it is cutting off the very bottom part of the page and the alignment on the main page buttons is off.

It may just be the way my phone is choosing to display the page, but I wanted to make you aware know case it is something that is in the coding. Hope this helps!

Looks great. Hopefully the multiple posts will get you the exposure you're looking for.

I like the photos of washed concentrations. Visual aids can be very useful to newbs. I think an in depth written explanation, as seen on other sites, could be added with the photos. And a photo for each option would be a nice addition.

All in all, really nice setup. More user friendly than others and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the lack of flash. I can finally use a yeast calculator on my android!

Btw, I'm not sure... there's yeastcalculator.com and yeastcalc.com. are the sites affiliated?

The scrolling items on every page are hidden by the site index at the bottom of the page. REALLY needs fixing to be functional. I'm on android sgs4 with Samsung factory browser

Actually I meant for the stir plate. Only one option there.

Thanks for the comments guys, and the screenshots donovan are really helpfull, i will fix it in the next 1-2 days. BBL unfortunately i could only find the formulas for Braukaiser and C.White algorithms. For the keg carbonation milldoggy i usually leave it for a week on the regulator and then check it if its ok

just made some minor tweeks, donovan i would really appreciate it if you could have another look since am on a veeery old nokia phone

I looks much better, though the alignment on the main page is still slightly off for the button text. I did notice a typo on the ABV calculator (alcohol only has 1 "h") and there seems to be more space at the bottom of the multi calculator page than some of the other pages. It looks nice like that. It allows your border shadow to stand out a little more to give it the pop. Some of the others, like the keg carb Calc, the shadow shows up right at the link box at the bottom of the page (a convenient feature I like). You definitely are heading in a good direction with the tweaks. Here are a few screen shots:

Still not displaying correctly...

The bottom of every page is blocked from view. I can still touch and scroll the page from under the index though.

A couple of recommendations, for the starter calculator:
1) It would be nice if the "Total Cells at Finish" text were colour-coded (e.g. red for not enough yeast, green for enough)

2) It would be nice if the gravity of the starter from the DME calculator (if something other than 1.037 were picked) be automatically propagated to all starter gravity entries in the calculator.

3) The metric weight measurements in he DME calculator are "hidden" after the oz's. Maybe make the field bigger, or give the user the option to select metric vs. imperial weight units.

The calculator is great - my recommendations are more about optimizing usability than fixing any sorts of flaws.

+1 to above.
It might be the best all-in-one resource around right now?
It is good so far though.

Great points warthaug, i will try to incorporate them as soon as possible. Its great to have your opinion guys! Thanks again to everyone for taking the time for the screenshots and the comments

hey Warthaug, just implemented your suggestions, i would appreciate it if you could have a look and let me know if everything is ok on your end

Everything on the page is now visible. Now I can play with it and see how everything works. I'm very excited about this!

I would suggest a drop down menu on the abv calc that allows for OG to be entered as either sg or plato. You already have the conversion app on the site, but this wouldould make for a nice and easy upgrade.

Man, talk about fast customer service!!!

You implemented everything I recommended in a way that works - but for one minor thing. The "Step 1" yeast count colour-coding doesn't work right:
Clipboard-1.png
(its green, should be red)

Looks good on Chrome on iPhone 5. The only thing is when you pick the date, I calendar doesn't go away. I have to hit the menu button at the top and then it goes away.

Thanks for your input guys. Warthaug i think the issue is resolved now if you want to have another look. cjgenever i'll add your suggestion to the calculator. mtnagel i noticed the issue with the calendar, i'll try to find another plugin. About the washed yeast, havent found any formulas that incorporate washed yeast viability over time. Dont know if you have read something about it. I usually wash and store my yeast in the freezer, dont know if there are any formulas taking this also into consideration. I have added a sparge water calculator and calories calculator if you want to try them
Thanks again guys

I assume frozen doesn't lose much viability if any. Stored in the fridge, I just go with the normal liquid yeast viability calculator like you already have. Maybe that's wrong, but that's what I go with.

I thought that Mr malty had a viability by age option for washed yeast?

I've always assumed that the viability calculator on the "Repitching from Slurry" tab didn't apply to washed yeast. I assumed it meant harvested yeast as in take a jar of the yeast cake at the bottom of the fermentor and use that. If you look at the viability calculator it drops rapidly until about day 53 when it's at 10% which is where it stays for a year where it drops to 1%. That seems to aggressive for what I've heard from rinsed yeast, but I'd love to be corrected.

So I've always used the liquid yeast tab for viability calculations on rinsed yeast.
