Hi y'all new here in Virginia started with a mr beer kit now wanting more so any ideas for a beginning kit? Seen some but most are confusing as he'll so any ideas will be helpful. Thanks in advance

Anyway, I just went through this myself. I bought a basic starter set from Midwest Supplies through LivingSocial for 50% off. Having said that, I quickly decided I needed a glass carboy instead of the bucket I still use the bucket so no money wasted.

Midwest treated me very well, they've got an online chat system too with helpful advice.

Also, if you're in the NOVA area... There's a homebrew store in Falls Church as well. Slightly higher priced but full of instant gratification.

Choose a darker beer, they're more forgiving of minor flaws.
