Hello,

I visited a LHBS at lunch today and was surprised to see "wort" for sale.
This was not extract, but infact hopped, somewhat concentrated wort.
It was vacuum sealed in a clear plastilc bladder type bag and had a heavy duty
stackable box as the main container. They had several varieties..cream ale, wheat, stout, blond, etc. It makes 23L -and judging by the size of the box, it reqd
about another 10-12L of water to make 23L.
It went for $30.00 (most name brand kits got for $20.00 up here)..and I am not sure if it included yeast.
I am an extract guy, but am switching to all grain for the next batch...but thought
this was kinda neat...and would have loved this for the dorm or small apartement way back when.

It takes all the fun outta making your own..basically only leaving the sanitizing and bottle washing.

Has anyone else seen this - or am I am posting yesterday's news? I should have read the box to see if it was all grain, or contained dextrose...

Cheers.

Sounds like one of the pre-hopped, no-boil kits in a different package. I guess I just don't see what the point is if 90% of the work is already done for you.
