I got this brew tree on the right for $250.

It's a keg wired with a 220 heating element, temperature controller, thermometer, 1/2 " ball valve on the side and a 3/8" ball valve on the bottom. The tree has a water filter attached to a copper line into the tank. I'm going to install a sight glass instead of the 1/2 inch ball valve. There is also a shelf for the MT.

I have two brewing lines now and can brew 24 gallons at a time.

It's an almost-a-barrel brewery! :ban:
The Electric HLT heats 15 gallons to 170 in 45 minutes.

Based on heating time, I am thinking 5500W.

Do you have an electric solution for your 1BBL brewery?

My little 10 gallon system is running 9000W in the BK and in the RIMS, that is about perfect for heating times. 15 gallons from 60F to 170F in 28 mins.

I thought it was a good deal. I'd never thought about electric until I heard about this coming up for sale. Seemed like a good deal so I grabbed it.
I'm considering an electric BK too but propane is OK for now.

Second brew with the new tank. It's taken an hour off my brew day. I also installed a sight glass that helps a lot.

Sweet Find! Are the wires to the heat element waterproof? Just built a heatstick using a heating element like yours. Used JB Weld to insulate the wires from water

Not sure if they're waterproof or not. I'm trying to not get them wet just in case until I heat shrink them.
