Ok so I just bought a new burner and I have one problem with it. It has one of those timers on it. It only last for 20mins! Is there a way to take that off! It is just in the way. I jave not looked at it to much. I just want to see if anyone has done it before. any help would be great. Thanks.

Have done it, not too easy unless you are fairly mechanical. If you're mechanical, take it apart, then see if you can plug all the holes with bolts and such. Works fine, just a pain.

My mod for the one I had a while ago was to turn the timer to its max then drill a hole through the knob and stick a zip tie through the hole and around the box. Worked for a year before I upgraded to a stand with bigger burners.

+1 the only problem is you have to cut it to shut it off right? If the timer knob has a big enough ridge you could drill a hole and put a pin in to hold it on and when you want to shut it off just pull the pin. If I understand the situation correctly.

Oh true silly me then you wouldn't have an residual gas in the line anyways which is good. Correct?
