New brewer in CA

Hi all,

I received a new home brew kit for Christmas from my much, much better half. Looking forward to putting it to great use. I have my first brew planned for Monday the 3rd (Steam kit from the LHBS).
I used to use a Mr. Beer many years ago, but stopped brewing when my youngest was born. He is 11 now, so I think its time I start again.

Already have my first 3 batches in mind. After the Steam, I'm going to do a Patriot Lager (LHBS kit for Sam Adams), and a Hefe (planning to use the NB Hefe kit).

I hope to make the move to full grain, we'll see. This site is awesome, thanks everyone for all the information. I have learned a lot in just my short time of reading.
