New brewer from ohio's miami valley. I been putting together an all grain setup for the past couple months. Built a keggerator and mash tun and stainless pots with valves. I am just waiting to find a deal on a grain mill and go to the brew store and get a bunch of ingredients. Cant wait to get some of the pictures of the stuff i built on here.

Oh hey, just since no one else has said so, Hello and welcome from another new brewer in the lower Miami vallley.

For a new brewer you are really taking the plunge going straigt for all grain :D I hope to be there in a month or 6 (gardening season, summer fun, etc)

This place seems friendly enough. ;)

Looking forward to seeing some of the pics from your projects. Sounds like you will be spending plenty of time and money and Brewtensils!

Thank for the replies. I was starting to think this wasnt such a friendly place and almost gave up on this forum right away. I decided to go right into all grain so i can do things the right way the first time and not buy a bunch of stuff i wouldnt use after i wanted to upgrade after a couple batches. I am hoping to be brewing my first batch within a month. I have yet to even visit brewtensils homebrew store. been ordering stuff online considering its around the same price as brewtensils and i dont have to burn any of that liquid gold to get what i need. I will be buying all my grain from them though in bulk. Thanks for the replies.

I just dont think there are that many people on here from the Miami Valley area, every time i have needed any help everyone has been great.

Luckily i live pretty close to Brewtensils so i can pick things up pretty easily when i need them, and since im a newb its been pretty often. But you are right the prices online are usually better. But you cant go next door to Belmont Part Supply and grab a sixer or two of some really nice beer when you are picking up your brew supplies.

Brewtensils is my LHBS and I try to support them as much as possible...online doesn't help on brewday when you realize that you are missing an ounce of hops of forgot to order 1/2# of some specialty grain. I like knowing that they are 15 minutes down the road and want to help keep them there.

by the way...welcome to the forum. :mug:
