Hi everyone!

I came across this excellent forum from a google search. My two brothers and I began brewing about a month ago after the young one got a starter kit and made some hard cider.

There's an excellent home brew/brew on premises store in NJ called the Brewer's Apprentice (www.brewapp.com), they have a great master recipe list http://www.brewapp.com/recipemasterlist.html listing every recipe they will sell you when you come to the store.

In just the past month the brothers' operation has done four brews:

Bottled - Oatmeal Stout
Primary Fermenters - Steam lager, British pale ale, Irish red ale (we had to keep the fermenters far apart so they wouldn't fight)

The Steam is about to be bottled after Christmas.

The Oatmeal stout was just tasted for the first time last night while we were brewing the Irish red ale.

I look forward to being a part of the community in this forum, I have done a lot of reading and learned how much there is that I don't know about brewing. This place is a great resource and a lot of you guys seem to enjoy sharing information just for the sake of good beer you'll never taste.

Cheers and good brewing to all!

Chris

Good to see another new Jerseyite! The Brewer's Apprentice is my LHBS too (although I've only been there once, 'cause I just started brewing last weekend!) Good luck with your brews!

Hey Chris over in New Jersey

We and the Irish are the best of friends nowadays:D

I think the Irish can drink us Brits under the table though:mug: We're fairly low down the European league table. I was camping in France this summer gone and the Dutch were the clear winners, head and shoulders above the Germans, who came second. The Brits came third, and the French fourth. The Italians were nowhere in it, they have much to learn! There weren't any Irish peeps there. No idea where Americans and Canadians fit into the scheme of things.

To the snow, yes I hope we get lots and I don't have to go to work and can sit around enjoying some brew.

To Edski, That sounds amazing, can I come next year to represent America??
