Hi Everyone!
New to the forum and about as new to brewing! I've brewed my first few gallons with some extract kits and looking forward to trying a few more to get a feel for it. Loving brewing so far!
So far, I brewed the basic 'kit' recipe - some ale kit my wife got me for my birthday a while back. Also tried brewing an "American Classic" (2 batches, gallon each) and a gallon of an "American Stout" that was an all-grain recipe that I know I didn't brew right. The stout may or may not be drinkable, had no idea what 'mashing' and 'sparging' were till after I made it. Part of the learning process! The classics and stout are fermenting and should be bottled this week. The first batch I am drinking as I type!
Been reading and watching lots of videos on YouTube and learning lots. Look forward to learning more and sharing what I can.
Once I feel I have a handle on things, I plan to put together a 5 or 10 gallon All-grain system. Also going to brew a 3 gallon batch of hard cider this week for the wife.
