New Brewer from Chicago, IL

Hello Everyone!

I am a new brewer who is just getting into the hobby, but I am loving it so far! I am currently brewing with just kit recipes, but eventually I want to get into doing my own recipes. So far I have produced drinkable beer, nothing to write home about, so that is why I am here. I want to hone my process and get a reliable, repeatable process for brewing. I have lots of questions I am going to be searching around for and may be asking some here and there. Looking forward to get conversations going and jumping off into the deep end with this hobby!

Welcome to the group. You may want to look into the chaos brew club in Chicago. There are others in the greater Chicagoland area but Chaos is closest to downtown.

CHAOS is a great club, with awesome people. It's a bit costly though, which is because they basically have a brew it on premise place with a bar, and a walk in fermentation chamber / cold room.

There's a bunch of clubs in the area depending on where you are specifically. The CHBG (chicago homebrewers group) is on facebook, is free to join, and is very casual. Great guys.
