New Brewer-Easy strong Ale recipe

Hey im about to start brewing and im looking to make a strong ale. I'd rather it not be too extravagant, if at all possible in this category, considering im new. Im a huge fan of Barleywines and IPAs so some decent fairly simple recipes in those categories would be greatly appreciated.
