I don't know how dry this beer is supposed to be but it looks like you're at around 1.015~?

Seems kinda high to me but I don't know what kit you're using.

Looks like a great color though.

At 1.015 fg that would make it about 5%. Looks like you had an extract kit. They design those pretty much to a " t" ,probably exactly what they expected. Good job! :)

Isn't that your original gravity? What is final gravity? Take your OG-FG multiply that number by 131 and that is your alcohol.

I would steer clear of the gelatin for a few batches and see if you like the final product without it.

I would keg that beer right away! (Sounds like you did.) Not as much to worry about in terms of exploding bottles since it's in a keg. For kegging, I have learned that many keg lids are temperamental in terms of leaking a little. The trick that I learned is to 1-use keg lube and 2-blast the keg at 30 psi to seat the lid and seal it up. At 10-15 psi, the lids just aren't seated all the way. Once you have blasted it, you can back off. But I usually leave it at 30 for a day.

I've been brewing for some time and I always enjoy reading about people's first brews. Always a good laugh. I have to say, for your first beer, you nailed it!! Kudos to you. Gravity readings, keg system, asking questions on the forum before it's too late. Nicely done!

Happy brewing and enjoy your first beer. Beer will never be the same to you!

Ty so I cranked the psi up to 30 and learned something important. Not to have a tap hooked up to the out side. It started pushing beer into the clear dispense line.

So I was able to convince the wife that since I now have a beer in the keg in the fridge that I need to brew another so I have a American wheat on the boil right now. :)
