I typically am not a fan of most NB beers, but I've recently purchased my 3rd sixer of Hoptober. I'm really enjoying this one!

not a huge fan of the hoptober. all of their beer just seems to blend together to me, which i guess is good for them because they have a distinct style, but that can also be a problem cuz I don't really buy their beer anymore because it's kindof a "been there, drank that" mentality now.

used to be a big fan but now that I'm in norcal there's just a ton of stuff that is readily available that bests NB 9 times outta 10

This is a great beer. I just tried it, the first time I've tried a rye ale. You can really taste the rye in it, and there is a touch a wheat too. The hops work well too. Four stars out of 5 for commercial brew.

It has a lot of hop flavor and aroma with very little bitterness. This is one of my favorites as well. Very easy to drink.

I would love to try to knock-off this recipre. Very good.... They ship east of the Mississippi. New Belgium is plentiful in the Raleigh, NC area.

Cary/Raleigh here also. Picked up a twelve pack this weekend. Glad to see it back.

The beer is fine. It's a decent beer for how hoppy it is.

It is definitely NOT an oktoberfest. I know they don't call it an oktoberfest but the name is obviously a play on October and obviously is intended to play the oktoberfest field. Kind of dishonest.

I picked up a folly sampler with Hoptober in it. While I don't necessarily agree that they are being dishonest in their advertisement, there isn't anything in the flavor that absolutely screams fall to me. I like it quite a lot, find it refreshing, and could drink it year round.

Those Folly packs are a great deal in my area 12.99 for a 1/2 case. Too bad they included Flat Tire, more of the other 3 would have been better ( Hoptober, Ranger and Belgo) I love the Belgo. I don't get the play on Oktoberfest with Hoptober beer either, but when viewed without that Oktoberfest billing it is an interesting and enjoyable craft beer.

Its a good beer, but a oktoberfest hybrid.Still good, i like the signature New Belgium taste they have in most the beers -love the ranger-its always fresh tasting. im lucky enough to have it on tap here, not much of a goto the bar person, and our city ordinace sucks -cant go in a fill up a growler.Maybe i can talk my way into a dont ask dont tell policy with them to fill up. Tap is hit or miss sometimes and they probably would charge me more to fill up than getting the sixer from the store anyway.
