try market cross pub in carlisle pa, if you're going that far north. Chambersburg pa has Roy pitz brewery but its not really a pub.

On your way going back home there's a few nice brewery's just east of Waynesboro, Va. Just take I64 east about 10 minutes and right on rt 151 south there is 3 in a row
Blue Mountain Brewery, Wolf's a little further south then Devils Backbone Brewery. You might have to get off on rt250 then hit rt151 south. Star Hill Brewery is off rt 250 north about 10 minutes. They have a tasting bar and sell some bombers n six pks but no food.

Since you mentioned Winchester, I'll give you one to avoid: Piccadilly's Public House in Winchester. They brew their own wretched beer on site, and the food isn't that great, either. I can recommend places that have great beer selections in Winchester, but that isn't what you are asking for.

If you are in Carlisle At Martket Cross Pub. Appalachian Brewing Company and Lancaster Brewing Company both have locations just 30 minutes north of carlisle not far off I-81
