Hey guys, thanks for taking time to help me out! I’m not very handy and know nothing about electrical but what I am looking for is a probe like the one below except with 3 prongs vs 4. The reason being, my current system already has this and of course there are 3 prongs. I want to use that same cable for mash AND boil temps so I can just switch it out between the 2. Add a new port in the boil kettle and the rest is history. Thanks for any advice!!

Ironically enough I looked on their page last night and just happened to find this! I grabbed a 6” water tight probe (knowing now it is 3 prong). Thank you so much for your quick reply Mongoose!! Looks like you are doing pretty much what I am too (using a Blichmann Breweasy). Happy Brewing!

Do I need a bulkhead, or can the probe be run directly into the side of the kettle? Probably less likely to leak with a bulkhead I would imagine.

You can mount it directly to the side of the kettle without a bulkhead. Get a 1/2" locknut (SS if you can), a silicone or rubber o-ring and a 3/4" SS washer for the outside. It will seal fine and work well. I have done at least a half dozen done like this. It will go - locknut - o-ring - kettle side - washer - probe.
