Hello,
I have a Kegco 199-SS. I put a wireless weather monitor inside there to see what setting to put the fridge to. It has come to my attention that air temp means squat.
What is happening now:
1. Air temps fluctuate from Mid 30's then slow to ~42.5. Compressor kicks on and cools it down again. Is this normal?
2. A pretty significant pop happens when the compressor turns off and on? Normal?
3. How the heck do I make sure it is good enough temperature to sustain a keg? I want to get a 1/2 barrel for Easter but I don't want to waste $109 bucks.
The setting is around 5 out of 7 on the knob. I understand you are supposed to put a good amount of water in the kegerator and let it sit for 24 hrs to get the liquid temperature, but I can't find a tool to east measure it correctly. Just a basic thermometer?
Any help would be greatly appreciate. I look forward to learning from the masters.
Thanks
