Hey guys, I've looked through tons of threads about A419 settings for a Chest Freezer Kegerator, but still want to get some direct opinions. I have a 1 1/2 year old Frigidaire 14.8 Cubic Feet Chest Freezer with an A419 controller. I really want to extend the life of this bad-boy and am confused about what settings/configuration would be best to protect the compressor.

What I was originally thinking was this:

SP - 40 degrees
DIf - 3 degrees
ASd- 11 mins
OFs - 0

Not very savvy when it comes to refrigeration/thermodynamics, would love to hear what your thoughts are to keep my beer cool but also keep my compressor from killing itself.

Thanks

Those settings should be a good start. You could push the ASd setting further out, it's unlikely you'll ever have the fridge need to cycle anywhere near 11 minutes. The ASd really protects against irregular circumstances (eg: coming back from a power fail in the middle of a compressor run) and the longer the hold-off the better.

Still, those are safe settings...

Cheers!
