I'm in the process of making a Java coffee stout from midwest supply and about to add the challanger hops. It came with 1 oz and it only calls for 1/2 oz once the water boils in the recipe that came with it. No other time do you add the other 1/2 ounce

should I use all of them or what the recipe calls for? thanks.

I'd probably just follow the recipe. You can always seal up the rest of the hops (vacuum seal if you have the capability) and store them in the freezer for another time.

The smallest hops quantity I've seen is 1 oz. Probably easier for them to give you the whole ounce then for them to re-package into 1/2 oz quantities.
