Yesterday I put a huge dent in the bottom of the better while shaking it with some oxyclean in it. I was able to get most of the dent out by filling it up with cold water, but there are two small creases where the big dent used to be. One of the creases has sort of a white color, similar to when you bend a coke bottle back.

So, should I continue brewing in this, or buy another one and use this as an emergency or backup carboy? Is this as bad as a scratch in an ale-pail? Are my chances for infection high?

Send it to me for testing. :)

Brew on, you will be fine. Devote it to a sour batch if you are really concerned.

It doesn't look all that bad, so I'm gonna brew on. I'm doing a Pliny The Elder clone tomorrow, but will risk it anyways.
