I need a decent program that will allow me to store and input custom all grain recipes for either an iPad or my android phone. I paid for the brew journal on my iPad and it isn't very good . Please give me some advice.

I know......relax and have a home brew!

I use BeerSmith on my iPhone. I can also share recipes between it and the desktop version of Beersmith.

I use iBrewmaster. I find it very easy to use and I can also share recipes between my iPhone and iPad. It also comes with a lot of recipes directly from Northern Brewer.

I use beer alchemy on my iPhone not sure if they have an iPad app or not. Keeps recipes, inventory, and ingredient lists plus all the usual calculators you could possibly need.

I use Beersmith for my Android and desktop. Can store you recipes in the cloud and access from computer of phone.

I use iBrewmaster. Beersmith is great for designing recipes and the cloud storage is pretty cool for multiple devices. That said, iBrewmaster is so easy to use for different batches. Your recipe file and batch records are separate. That makes it easy to keep track of modifications and notes for each batch. Both are good programs

As an aside, the separation of recipe from batch is possible in Beersmith too. Though it isn't as intuitive. You need to click "Copy to Log" from your recipe to make the brewday version.

I've never used iBrewmaster but I do know that the recipe and batch presentation in BeerAlchemy looks like a better setup than the way Beersmith does.

Edit: spelling

Sorry to hijack a little.
Can you just use Beer Smith Mobile? Or do you have to install Beer Smith Desktop and use the Mobile version in conjunction?

Thanks!

There are two versions of beersmith for android... beersmith mobile, and beersmith 2. The older beersmith mobile is cheaper, but is not editable. Beersmith 2 for android is the same version as for PC and is a little over $7 if I remember right.
