Summary: Please suggest a device that I can put inline on the DC output to my homemade stirplate that can be used to adjust (like a dimmer switch) the RPM of the sitrplate.
I have a DIY stirplate. It works great but the vortex is a bit extreme. I am running around 9 volts and very little amps from a hacked battery charger to a DIY computer fan. I would like to be able to dial down the RPM by altering the DC voltage to the fan to control the vortex created by the sitrplate. While I love screwing around with pre-made electronics, I don't know what part one would install to do what I wish. Can anyone point me to a radio shack part number or maybe something from home depot or lowes that I can install to do the job? Thanks! N_G
