This one is available at Harbor Freight for $16. It’s rated to 440lbs. I just added a carabiner that would hold the rope from slipping back and was good to go.

(I don’t use the gambrel, but you might find a way.)

Update:

So I decided to forgo cold crashing, as wheeling my cart out to the garage on an icy pavement is a bit hazardous for an amputee. So I let the mead clear and racked it to my Speidel on the floor. Which left me with the same issue of moving it for aging.
This Harbor Freight rope hoist and gambrel is intended for lifting game like a deer and hanging it from a tree branch for dressing. I hung it from the floor joists in my basement and managed to lift the carboy into a cart.

I used some 14 gage wire to attach the gambrel to the Speidel's handles. I'll fabricate a piece of 2x4 with hooks for that in the future. But, mission accomplished -

Thanks for the help, brothers -
