Hey guys,
So the recipe (http://www.northernbrewer.com/documentation/beerkits/WaldoLakeAmber.pdf) calls for 1 oz Cascade hops to be thrown in at the beginning with the steeping of the specialty grains. I was hoping to make some dog biscuits with the used grains and I don't want to get any hop in there.... soooo... thoughts on whether or not it would really throw off the hop profile if I added these later (immediately at the point the wort reaches 170 deg and I remove the grains)?

thanks!

Can't say that I have done that, but I would think it would be okay.

My guess was that this was to be similar to a first wort hop in all-grain brewing. I might let the hops sit in there for 20 min or so before bringing it to a boil.
