NB Three Hearted Question

I will be doing a NB Three Hearted extract kit this weekend. My question is, do I need to pick up a blow off tube or would a airlock be ok? Thanks guys!

it's hard to say, how big is your fermenter? if you're fermenting in a large bucket or a 6.5-7 gallon carboy, you should be OK, otherwise, you might wanna pick up some tube.

My 6.5 gallon carboy is full with Oktoberfest so I will be using a new 6 gallon better bottle.

what kinda yeast comes with that clone and are you making a starter? i would just get some tube so you have it. you can get like 3 ft of the tube for < $5, just go for it and then you're covered.

It's Wyeast 1056. I will be making a starter "first time doing so". This is only my second batch!

Get a blow off. It's better to have it on and not need it than not have it and end up having to clean you ceiling. I always put a blow off tube on my carboys.
