Your bar top is looking exactly like I want mine to be! Very helpful to see it coming to life through the build progress. I'm hoping to get started on mine this weekend. What dimension wood did you use for that edge?

Is that where the drip tray is going to be installed? Wondering why you decided to place it so far back.

It's looking great, those miter joints are top quality.

Slakwhere, you'll have to wait and see. Gremlyn, I used 1 x 4 inch oak boards. We have oak with a "hickerey" finish cabinets so i am going to try and match that. (Actually the boards measure 3/4" by 3 1/2" but you probably knew that).

How did you get the board inside the inside of the lid? Trying to figure that out...

Gremlyn, i had to take the seal stripping off, when i did that i saw some plugs that held a molded piece of plastic to the lid perimeter. Once i pulled those pugs off i was able to get the board in there. I Cut the boar 1/8 bigger on all sides so i could get it in the hole, yet not pop out easily. So, i cut the board 1/4" wider and taller than the hole. I then had to angle the board to get it in.

Thanks, that makes sense. I have my inner lid off, just wasn't sure if I would be able to wiggle a board in there. Did you manage to get screws into it on all four sides?

Nate, where you at on the build? I am watching yours, started mine tonight. Noticed the Tightbond in the pic, you must be a woodworker.

teuf, i am not necessarily a "wood worker" but i have some tools and have screwed around with a couple of projects. This is by far the most elaborate.

Great progress! I'm picking up speed on my "Pleaser Keezer" and should be posting new pictures soon. Did you say what you're planning to do with the top surface, or if you are going to "hide" the freezer sides? I've been trying to find ideas for the exterior but most of the current keezer builds are incomplete.

Keep up the good work and great documentation!

I'm really wishing I didn't need such a high collar... Your tower is making me jealous :p

What is the recommended height from drip tray to faucet? I was planning to put my biggest beer mug on the tray, tip it up on an angle, and add 1-2 inches from the highest point of the rim. What was your method, Nate?

is there going to be space between the freezer and the paneling? if not, how do you intend to account for the heat?

slak, i was pondering this for a while. i went with the beadboard paneling becuase it is thin. I have not left a gap but kept it close to the freezer. The paneling is less than 1/4" thick so the heat retention should be minimal. I left the back open and i have a cutout on the other side where the vent is. I am hoping there should be now issue with that. I looked around other peopels builds and they have done the same.
