Hi, I have a 20 lt container of our cider from 2018 pressing. It has been racked, and is now ready to put into 1 gallon bag in boxes. It tastes very pleasent, but when you sniff a glass it smell quite unpleasent. It kind of smells of rotten eggs (maybe mildly rotten eggs). I just wondered if there was some additive, chemical or otherwise that would mask the smell ??

This is just hydrogen sulphide from the fermentation. It will go and is nothing to worry about.

I cannot see how after all this time after fermentation has ceased how the smell will suddenly dissappear ?
