only the "TD" series has manual mode.... I own both the ta7 and a few TD4's manual mode and size are the only differences (and slightly different sensor wiring locations)
smaller...the "7" and '4" indicate size... unfortunately... you could always use the ta7 for the HLT and the TD4 for the boil.... thats what I did on my old setup...Is the TD4 bigger or smaller? I'm asking because I already have the hole cut in the box for the TA.
I will be. I bought 3 TA7's and installed them in my control panel. Now that it's all wired up I'm realizing that I need 2 TA7's and one TA4. I guess I'll have to make a sleeve of some sorts to accommodate the "4" in the "7" size hole. Maybe I can trade my "7" for with someone who needs it.smaller...the "7" and '4" indicate size... unfortunately... you could always use the ta7 for the HLT and the TD4 for the boil.... thats what I did on my old setup...

I also have quite a few extra parts. I'm either going to list them in the classified on here or build another control panel and sell it. I might be able to use the TA7 in a controller for an electric still that I'm going to build but I might need a manual mode for that too.I made a whole new faceplate and just used 3 TD4's myself... took the ta7 and decided to use it in another panel I'm building to sell on craiglist since I had so many extra parts. this way I can recoup some of my costs...
