my first batch (an amber ale kit) was successful and tasty. My second batch (a darker higher alcohol content than first batch) tasted even better. My third batch (a quick version of an octoberfest) is in secondary and looks great. Stepped it up and broke off of kits for the first time. Used a grain bag and bulk malts and liquid yeast. Here's to crossing fingers but the guys at DeFalcos are steering me in all the right directions!!

Good luck! I have a quickie Oktoberfest aging in my basement right now. It's been down there in bottles for about 2 months now - I was just about to try one later today to see how they're doing. (It was pretty damn good last month.)

Did you try it? How did it taste? I now have a belium trippel in primary and I might be able to sneak a taste of the octoberfest this coming weekend
