my pumpkin ale

hey i made a pumpkin ale, thats pretty much ready for secondary, but i'm alittle pissed because its gravity is at 1.010 or 1.009, which is good right? but the ABV is like only 2, what can i do to these recipes to boost up the %?

Are you reading the estimated ABV on your hydrometer? If so, that's just used when you take your initial grav. reading.
