This is my second batch of a pumpkin ale, The first batch the OG was a little high 1.060, since I have brewed the first batch of pumpkin I have changed my mash tun, several steel braided hoses and a motor and mixer to stir by mash, I knew that my efficiency has increased but I didn't think it would this much, using the same ingredients as last time my OG ended up being 1.090, I have pitched the yeast but nothing has happened I suspect I am going to need to pitch more and it has been 48 hours since I brewed this, my question is can I cut this with water to decrease my OG? Should I do this now before I repitch, this is a 5 gallon batch, or can I wait, let it ferment and then cut it before I rack to a secondary? My idea OG would be around 1.050
