Very nice! Do you mind sharing the make and model? I'm looking for something similar.

Newbie - Northern Brewer Irish Red (with added molasses) ready for secondary. Next up - Smoked Porter

Never did crack, but if this is what it is like then I may be in.

Its a Igloo fr464.. got it at walmart for about $150. 4.6 cubic feet. Had a freezer in it. I had to disconnect the freezer and bend it down so it fits agaisnt the back wall. Then the shelves are molded directly to the door so I had to cut them off. Did not have to do any other mods to it other then drill the two holes in the door for the taps. Fit two kegs and a 5lb Co2 cylinder. Hoping to have it full of two kegs worth or beer next Sunday.

I used an Igloo FR464 as well, my freezer comportment was just a shelf I had to take out. I've had it for a couple years now still works great. Built a circulation fan out of a folgers can and a computer fan with an old cell phone charger, makes the beer get WAY colder and don't have to defrost as often.

Great build, and way to really get into the hobby!!

Thanks for the model number!

On Tap: English Bitter and root beer. In bottles: Orange and lime infused Hefeweizen, hard cider, apple wine. Secondary: Apple cider milk stout alt yeast, Smoked malt milk stout. Next up: Ginger pale ale with undecided fruit in secondary.

also I had to moved the thermometer around and place it agaisnt the freezer plate as it must be calibrated to be right next to the cooling unit....couldnt get the temp above 32F no matter how low I set the dail...moved it and now it looks like it works alot better at holding a lower temp

Also, FYI, - I have a similar build - same size kegerator with bent down cold plate..... I had big issues with uneven temperature inside the unit. Bottom was 36 and the top was around 50 - causing the lines coiled at the top to warm and cause foam. A small PC fan mounted low, blowing up will really help this setup. My fridge kicks on much less often now as the fan really evens out the temp inside.
