My grain bag broke

So My grain bag broke in my all grain pale ale mash.... am i screwed?!

Just posted in your other thread, but grab a kitchen sifter or strainer whatever you have and go to town. Remove as much as you can before boiling and you'll be fine. Then get a Wilser bag.

Naw. Do you have a strainer? Fish out as many of the kernels you can and proceed.

If it's pre-boil do whatever you need to get those grains out. Any bacteria will be killed by the boil and getting the grains out will prevent tannins in the beer

I figure your always in the clear until there is obvious nasty fuzzy stuff growing on your beer. otherwise it's always worth trying to salvage.

This, although I would go further and say "...nasty fuzzy stuff That you can't rack out from under..."

Strain and proceed. I scorched a bag on my element in my second eBIAB run- total mess, mid-brewday kettle cleaning after running off the wort. Good beer though.

true, true. I've always been a little too uneasy to try salvage it at this point. if I know it's been infected I can't get past even consuming it at that point, even if it might just be harmless bacteria.
