Here it is plugged in and cleaned up adjusted for the height of corny kegs.

Here is three five gallon kegs in just a small area we ( brother and I) determined that roughly 20kegs will fit 25 with some creative arrangement. I am going to use five five output manifolds. 4 for dispensing 1 for force carbing. Until we gather enough kegs to fill the fridge we will be using what we have. As for the tap set up currently using picnic taps not to keen on drilling thru the glass we will have to see if I can build a tap bank

bad ass. where did you score it and how much? how are you planning to run the lines out?

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Home Brew mobile app

Is there a point of diminishing return wrt kegerator capacity?

ie: If you were to ever actually come close to filling that beast with beer, would you be able to consume it fast enough so you're not forced with drinking beer way way past it's "Best By Date"?

Cheers!

In all reality I got the fridge for free and we have a decent sized group of homebrewers that I will offer this as a beer bank they will all have access to 24/7 ( garage has a keypad that allows access) plus I drink about 1/2 a keg in 2 days, my brother is on par with my drinking and is moving in with me for a couple months. As for the tap set up I do not want to drill thur glass so I am planing on building a tap bank inside the doors

When you put it in a number like that it seams kinda scary, a 5 gallon keg is roughly 54(12oz) beers, 54 beers between 2 people in 2 days is 13 beers a day per person that seams like a much more reasonable number lol.

I'm going to try and find a way to run the air line in thru the floor drip pan so the tank does not take up space,

Also I guess I should correct my statement about the amour of beer I drink, I COULD drink 1/2 a keg in 2 days if I wanted to I do not drink that much on a regular basis

That's a pretty neat thought, I'll have to look into that.
I am located just north of Houston Tx

13 beers is fine... if you're brewing nothing but Sessions. Crack even the 5% level and the thought of 13 makes me cringe. Now in my mid-20s i'd have been salivating at the thought of drinking that much everyday. How times change....

In what world is 13 beers a day reasonable?

13 beers a week is pushing the line of reasonableness to me

I will concede that the amount is a bit high for a smaller person with a low activity level,
However, spread 13 beers over a 6 hour brewday in the garage, or working in the yard,

Also most beers I drink are in the 4-8% abv range.

Disclaimer: I do no condone over consumption of alcohol, or the use of any equipment under the influence of alcohol

13/6 is a beer every half hour.

i don't care how much you drink, and i'm sure you don't care what I think of your drinking, but 13 beers a day is overly excessive.

you guys must have one of these for working in the yard:

Thirteen beers a day is a lot, you can't even really debate that. Even if you're at 4.2% a beer (a Bud Light 12 oz'er) 99% of the population is hammered, throwing up and will have a hang over the next day. But to each their own.

Still a damn cool fridge though.

13 a day? Maybe in my heyday. But in those days I thought "Bud Heavy" was the best beer out there.

Be curious to see the finished product :rockin:

Its also a matter of how and where you grew up. For example, In Wisconsin, 13 beers is nothing. Not every day obviously, but on occasion.

I wouldn't exactly say it's "nothing". A 210 lb male, mid 30's who drinks 13 beers over the course of 12 hrs has a BAC of .094. If you want to be legally drunk the entire day that's cool. I do that about once a year when I go to a football game. But if you're doing that every day or even 3 or 4 times a week you're going to need a new liver...very soon.

Back on track about the fridge, what kind of material would y'all suggest in place of the glass panes( it is 2 panes per door with an air gap between panes) would it be wise to use some sort of insulation between new material( insulate the door better)It would be nice to not have to open the door every time to get a glass of beer.
I will also be doing hard ciders, and sodas.

That double pane glass probably comes out as a "unit", with a frame around it.
For ease of manufacturing.

What are the dimensions of the opening, and thickness of the glass assembly?

(I'm working up to a suggestion).

I would doubt the the top racks would hold the weight of full kegs with out reinforcing them.
Sweetcell, just ask for the code to the keypad.

I would look for a few 15 gallon kegs if I was looking to move that much product. Or perhaps 7.75 gallon tall 1/4 kegs?

I also assumed your consumption estimates might have been on the optimistic side, so I will graciously refrain from comment.
I like the idea of replacing one of the glass panels with plywood or something to facilitate tap installation

Cheers

There are no refrigerant lines in the side panels of that unit. Holes can be drilled for CO2 or even taps, if side mounting works for your space.

I've used a much smaller GDM-12 with corneys for a number of years. External CO2 bottle. Yours appears to be a GDM-3x or 4x. It is a beast. Love it. The TRUE commercial coolers are almost bullet proof. I have three, handling various duties.

It is a True GDM-49
I would like to explore the different door materials before I drill any holes in the side of the cooler.
I figure
1: it would allow me to remove the lights and add insulation keep the cost of operation down
2: new door material would allow me to organize the taps it is chaos n there currently with only 3 kegs
3: put glass back in if I were to sell it vs holes drilled in side of box

When ya' get a chance, give up some info from my post above........Might have some neat door material for ya', for the cost of shipping, (it's lightweight....very lightweight), and possibly a beer or six should our paths cross.........
