I entered my Bell's two hearted clone in the Northeast PA fair. I am happy to announce that not only did it take first in it's class, but it also won best in show. Now I know its not the great american beer festival, but I'm happy anyway. I believe their were about 26 entries total, so it had a little competition.

Awesome job!! I brewed that same beer... I am hoping to enter it into some upcoming competitions!!

I changed the recipe up a little bit. I took half of the bittering hops from 60 minutes, doubled them, and dumped them in at 20 minutes(does that make any sense?). I believe the technique is called "hop bursting". Same IBUs, more flavor and aroma. Definitely a good recipe.

Congratulations AND I learned something. Hop Bursting sounds pretty cool, went straight to Mr.Malty to read about it.

Not great, missed my gravity by 10 points, 59% efficiency, no idea why. That and fermentation didn't start until after 24 hours, not sure why, i hydrated the nottingham yeast properly and pitched at a good temp. Oh well, its going now, we'll see how it turns out.
