Dan up-plugged

Hank is getting older. Singing with some friends. Pretty effing cool. Family and friends. I'm envious

Unplugged? Well, maybe not but for me I'm opening up.

I enjoy getting a bit older and unpredictive.. Nut's some may call me.

Here's a song about as country as the love of my life.

Love this song though.

Old favorite, one that has been played before and will play again. This one maybe just for myself since this threads gone cold.

He looks like the detective from Barney Miller...Sulu??

Wait that is George Takei? From Star Trek...Sulu. Got the character mixed up but I did think of the cop from Barney Miller, Nick..actor Jack Soo.

For you Barney Miller fans this is pretty funny. I can see him now saying this, it is supposed to be true. Oh he died of throat cancer.

Soo's last words to his Barney Miller co-star Hal Linden before his death were: "It must have been the coffee."

Waylon Jennings-
I've always been crazy and the trouble that it's put me through
I've been busted for things that I did, and I didn't do
I can't say I’m proud of all of the things that I’ve done
But I can say I’ve never intentionally hurt anyone

I've always been different with one foot over the line
Winding up somewhere one step ahead or behind
It ain't been so easy but I guess I shouldn't complain
I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane

Beautiful lady are you sure that you understand
The chances your taking loving a free living man
Are you really sure you really want what you see
Be careful of something that's just what you want it to be

I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane
Nobody knows if it's something to bless or to blame
So far I ain't found a rhyme or a reason to change
I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane

Love that song. Waylon Jennings, in my mind is the best country music singer - Ever!

(BTW. I sent you a PM on how to post videos. It's really simple. Have a blast posting. Looking forward to them!)

Another one of my favorite singers

This song is still relevant today.

My father tells me that he went to a D.A.C. show at Cain's Ballroom in the 70's (tulsa, ok) and was so out of it (on lord knows what) that they thought DAC was just some dude dressed up; and not the man himself. Story has it they started raising hell and throwing $hit at the stage before they got thrown out. Well, a year or so later this song comes out, and my pops can't help but think that he was the "loud mouth in the corner" that inspired this song. Of course, my dad is a long haired redneck, so go figure.
anyhow.....

Please excuse some of the language in this one, but this song takes me back to a specific place and time in my life. Lots of nostalgia here...

I should be putting these all in the same post, but I can't help myself...

He just doesn't look the same without his beard, but this is a great song.

GarageDweller thanks for the songs! Yes posting them can get a bit addictive. Have at it brother! :D

Homer and Jethro?

Bingo! Now that's some country music right there! Even tho it's comedy, the music is good. I was 2 years old when that came out  When I was a kid growing up, radio was pretty much all you had for entertainment. Even though we got a TV when I was 5 (1952), there wasn't very much on the tube, black and white and the screen was about the size of my 12" laptop :p I remember listening to "The Lone Ranger, Amos & Andy, Hopalong Cassidy, Dragnett", before they got to TV. Yeah, I'm old, but still kicken:ban:

Shoot,I remember listenin to the Grand Ol' Oprey on the radio when I was a kid. Loretta, patsy, ernest tubb, flatt & scruggs...

Dan, its funny seeing some of his other stuff. You would NOT see them at the grand Ole Opry

I am not sure if this is appropriate so I will go ahead and say **** (Language) and if needed to be removed feel free.
