Just got back from dinner to catch my dog (a newfoundland) tearing into a bag of roasted barley. He looked really guilty when I caught him, of course, but was he trying to tell me to brew a stout or a brown ale? Please advise.
 
I saw a piece on 60 Minutes recently about a race horse. Her trainer gives her a bottle of Guinness every day. A Newfoundland is almost as big as a horse, go with a stout.!

I keep hops in the freezer.

My male Boston Terrier prefers porters, and I agree with the above -brew big! Brown Ales are among my favorite, but "Rocco" won't even give 'em the time of day.
