They appeareit 3 plants of a batch of 25, with diferences. it's about plants originated by seed. It is very possible that when entering here in Mexico were irradiated by customs, it is usual here to scan with x-rays, and even with gamma rays to detect illegal things.

they are totally without sarcils on their stems, they are totally smooth and without any asperes, in normal plants they are rough even at a very young age.

I will follow your development to see what happens.

I will name it: "HOPLK"

I have seen crosses with a 50% and 25% background of wild neomexicanus growing with strange leaves like that, and some plants without the stiff hairs to help them climb.

then from that side should be the mystery these plants are 50% neomexicanus!

It seems like an hybrid depression.... I have seen it mentionned in some litterature about prof Salmon work (the one who started it all in UK).

Some seedling coming from neomexicanus crosses are growing with strange shaped leaves or twisted leaves, or don't grow over 30 cm or die before reaching that size.

Looks very similar to a little mutant that I sprouted.

Strange elongated, asymmetrical leaves and smoother than normal bines. I though that she might grow out of it, but never did. The 2nd year cones were also stranger - loose with long bracts - almost like normal flowers rather than cones. We even did some taste tests. The flowers were pleasant, but not worth the low yield and trouble to pick.

No neo in this one - as far as I know. She was a Magnum x Chinook backcross.

Utah-542 is a neomexicanus male that produced Chinook....there’s plenty of neomexicanus in there...
