Muslin bag substitute

I'm brewing this weekend and forgot to get a grain or muslin bag for my steeping grains.

The LHBS is 1/2 hour away but the hardware store is only 5 minutes away.

What is a good substitute for the Muslin bag that I could get at Home Depot?

Paint strainer bags are available at most hardware stores and Lowe's and Home Depot.

I used the paint strainer bags all the time. In fact, I prefer them to the muslin bags because the muslin compact your grains too much. I buy both the 1 gallon size and the bigger one. I use them for grain and hops.
