i got a mr beer brew pack for x-mas and i really don't know what to do with it. it says it makes about 20 12 oz servings

i have a 6.5 gal carboy so should i....

1. mix it up with what i have(and have about 4 gal of head space)
2. go to lhbs and get some hoped LME so i can have 5 gal

any thoughts would help:mug:

I wouldn't use a fermenter with that much head space. Find another smaller pail, sell it and do a real beer or supliment the ingredients with another 3.3lb can of hopped extract or go unhopped and buy some hops.

OR gift it to someone else.

I had a Mr. Beer. You wont be happy with it. There is a reason they cost alot less then a real starter equipment set. Sell it or store it and buy a real set you will be happy you did.

i don't have a mr beer keg, i just have the brown ale ingredients kit.
i think i will make it and see what happens.

Just Brew It! The volume of CO2 generated by the ferment will exceed the 4 gallon head space.
