So, I just brewed an IPA today and put it in the primary in our closet. After thinking way too much about how it's probably gonna get too warm I came up with the bright idea to move it into our spare bathroom and put it in some cool water with a towel around it. It had started bubbling a little bit, but no Krausen yet. After moving it (I tried really hard to be very careful and not slosh anything) no bubbling anymore. Did i kill the yeast or just shock it a little bit? Thanks for the help as usual.

Your beer will be just fine.

What was the ambient temperature in the closet? Unless it was really high, odds are that it would have been ok in there anyway.

No, it will be completely fine. The bubbles were just suspended CO2 that had built up. Wait a little bit and it will be bubbling again.

The only time moving beer can pose a "problem" in my experience is if the yeast has already settled and you then stir it up by movement.'
That "problem" is easily cured by time and more accurately an inconvenience.
