Im 3 weeks into a batch of JAOM. I decided to inspect it (for the first time) tonight to find a small amount of blue mould on the bung (around the outside of the bung, inside the fermenter). The mould didnt contact the mead as I ha an internal cap with a small hole in it. My question is. The bung is a natural cork one, did I need to boil it or was Campden enough?
I like to brew, what can I say, I'm Irish.
