[RANT] The more fecking safeguards we put in place the less number of stupid people are removed from the gene pool. We are thwarting with evolution here (maybe this is our evolution!) and the average intelligence must be getter lower with these people still in the pool and breeding. If you are not smart enough to be able to walk across a road - or walk to a crossing point without getting hit with a large metal object (i.e. car - hardly small) then should you be allowed to stay in general population?

EDIT : If you knew the people involved in this article I am sorry. This is just my point of view.

yeah I saw that but decided my sanity was more important then posting on it . . . I just headed tothe basement and put on my duct tape helmet and thought about my rabel rousing ancestors . . . .

I'm directly related to John Hart of CN (signer of the Decleration of Independance), Sam Huston (on my mothers side), and found out a couple weeks ago that I had a direct relative participate in the Whiskey Rebellion

Yeah, I get tired of this stuff too. Taking Darwin out completely out of the picture is not a good idea. Any of you seen Idiocracy, I thought it was a pretty good movie. This world, The US in particular, is dumbing down at an exponential rate. Sad

I just watched Idiocracy tonight. Friggin' hilareous.
The premise about stupidity being a selected trait is just a bit frightening . . .

See now, this isn't one of those laws, though. This fines people for being *********-- basically taking away some of their resources in exchange for being stupid. Less resources for stupid people means more for the rest of us.

Now if this law banned electronic devices in order to save stupid people, that would be a law that was thwarting Darwin's efforts.

Would you like a BIG ASS TACO!? Damn, that movie is so great. Mike Judge is brilliant.

I constantly worry about all the safeguarding and goddamned baby-proofing of the world. Philosophically speaking, how in the hell's a kid gonna know not to touch a hot stove if there's a big cage around it and he's got safety gloves on?

This iPod article is pretty absurd, especially when you think about how hypocritical it is to stop people from listening to iPods on the street, while they have no qualms about giving a driver's license to any old sack of wrinkles that's still breathing.

This world is full of idiots...and believe me, you can't take evolution out of the picture for very long. It's not an option. You can't avoid it. It's how life works.

They should just do away with the whole yeild to pedestrian law. Too many people take that to mean they can just randomly walk out in traffic and you are going to stop.

There are always poeple jumping out in traffic in our little town, then they get pissed when I bump them.. Kidding about the bump part but this does drive me crazy. I can imagine in big cities where there are hundreds crossing streets they get the heard mentallity and really pay no attention.
